The wife and I spent three nights in Segovia (probably one night too many). It’s a nice small city with some cool sights - the Aqueduct, Alcazar, and Cathedral. We also like the feel of history everywhere, and the various smells of different foods. I do like getting lost on purpose and seeing what turns up. Life is good. I took these IPhone photos at the end of April 2024. Note - the weather was freezing here, with a nasty wind and rain. Our first purchase here was winter hats - they were lifesavers!

The Wheatsheaf - Stow cum Quy 2 May 2024, 7:31 am
scuba_dooba posted a photo:
The Wheatsheaf at Stow End opened in the late 19th century. Unfortunately, the pub closed its doors in 2019.
There are plans to demolish the Wheatsheaf and replace it with a single-story building for the more than 200 members of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Churches in the county. There is significant damage caused by a water leak in the loft, making conversion into a place of worship unviable. The application for demolition and replacement with a religious place of worship was granted in March 2024.
